To ensure high quality glass, we begin with a precise formulation of sand and other raw materials. Our unique furnace is custom-designed to allow us maximum flexibility to produce the transmittance, thicknesses and sizes of glass that are right for you.

SolarFloat glass is produced utilizing Cardinal’s world-class manufacturing processes and I.Q. quality systems. We provide unmatched processing quality allowing for the highest tempering, coating and laminating yields.

Solar Transmittance

Cardinal ST’s trademark SolarFloat products are available in standard and low-iron compositions. In 3.2mm thickness we offer solar transmittance ranging from 85.0% to greater than 90.2% making SolarFloat glass a suitable product for all solar applications. The low-iron solar glass option has increased solar transmittance over our standard clear float allowing for improved solar efficiencies.
